Why Does The Thyroid Matter?

The shape of the thyroid gland is typically described as butterfly-shaped, with two lobes connected by a narrow isthmus in the middle. The thyroid gland is responsible for producing, storing, and releasing thyroid hormones into the bloodstream. The main functions of these hormones include: regulating metabolism and efficient digestion, controlling growth and development of the brain, bones and other organs, regulating body temperature, influencing heart and nervous system function, maintaining muscle strength, regulating menstruation and fertility, and promoting bone health. 

Why Would You Want A Healthy Thyroid?

1. Optimal Weight: Maintaining a healthy thyroid, you can support a balanced metabolism (easily converting food into energy) and manage weight effectively.

What Are The Dangers of Untreated Autoimmune Hypothyroidism Symptoms?   

Thyroid hormone disorders occur when there is too little thyroid hormone (hypothyroidism) or when there is too much  thyroid hormone (hyperthyroidism). Each of these conditions can cause distinct symptoms. Here we focus on autoimmune hypothyroidism.
